White Dungarees

(My dad is so vogue)
I hope you all had a very merry Christmas as I did so much so I have barely had anytime to blog but, this week will hopefully consist of some nice shots. I wore this the day before Christmas eve because I wanted to incorporate these Topshop dungarees into my winter wardrobe. I paired them with a turtleneck from Primark (suprise, suprise) and my Topshop chunky boots. My dad decided to make an appearance whilst shooting the pics so I thought why not post it, he's always asking to be on my blog. I also posted this look on instagram (@lucysb_) to which I got a very positive response, I think it's the white dungarees...

Is that orange?

I apologies for the lack of posts but I have been spending most days tucked up in bed or with friends just watching films and those outfits are not ones worth blogging about! Anyway, I picked up this orange ribbed top from Forever 21 for just £6 which I can't believe, it looks perfect with my vintage Levis! The jewels add a Christmassy effect to this look which I adore as Christmas is 2 days away, eeee! My beloved charity shop jacket kept me nice and cosy whilst my slip on Topshop shoes are not so practical. I loved this look as I spent the day at my Granddads home, singing carols with all the old folks, very festive!

Black Leather

With the days coming to an end even sooner, it's hard to believe I shot these pictures just before 5pm. I went to see a friends band in Manchester last night and decided to opt for this, again, very 'colourful' combination (I can't help it). My jeans and jacket are both from topshop, with my high neck crop jumper from Forever 21, necklace and boots H&M and I'm sure you all know this scarf so well. As the nights get colder, it becomes quite difficult to wear anything else other than jeans and skirts just scream 'FREEZING LEGS' to me. As for the band I saw (Paintbox Fires), I was so impressed, seeing people I know so passionate about something really put a smile on my face and I had a very good night!

May be I need more colour in my life...

Sometimes I feel black and white are the only colours I wear, I am certainly not complaining. I think it's such a chic yet youthful look so combined vintage with edgy pieces such as my bag (vintage) with my River Island cut out boots. My leather skirt is my go to skirt from forever 21 which looks perfect with loose fitting shirts such as this Topshop one. The combination is pretty effortless, but I like to think my favourite coat finishes it off. May be I need more colour in my life...

Blame Bonnie

Dog walks are one of my favourite things to do on a brisk autumnal day, yet not usually the most fashionable of outings. Since I purchased this Marella coat for only £8 in a charity shop, I have constantly been wrapping up in it as it's so cosy! My black jeans are the usual Joni Topshop jeans paired with my (fake)Timberlands as mud and my favourite boots is not a good combination and yes, I do occasionally think about the practicality of an outfit. My scarf is from primark and my beanie from H&M, the perfect way to wrap up warm. The tone of these pictures has so much depth, although I am afraid if my dog had have stayed still they would have been 10 times better.
Blame Bonnie.

Night Lights

So I now have my amazing new camera meaning my shots can be better quality and unique. I tried something a little different by shooting in complete darkness with only the exposure to the flash to highlight me. I love the tones in the background with the grey marled tee from H&M, the night looks so busy yet it's frozen in the shots. I kept my traditional 60s element with my hounds tooth print skirt from Missguided and paired my favourite chunky boots from New Look.

A pinch of photography

Something I feel that gets lost in my blog is my personal love for photography as I'm generally the one in front of the camera, not taking the picture. As much as I enjoy sharing my personal style, it would definitely be nice to have a model sometimes because like most 15 year old, posing for a picture taken is not one of my best attributes. So today I thought I would showcase some shots taken on my new (eee) Canon EOS700D which I am obsessed with! I went to such a beautiful place on such a pretty autumnal day and the shots I got were stunning (minus the one featuring me). When I get shots like these, it really makes me realize the beauty behind a camera. I will definitely be featuring more closely on my photography as next year I will be pursuing it at A level, so look forward to some interesting posts!

Oh so autumnal...

I honestly can't believe that November is here and I am still wearing skirts with bare legs, I think that is an accomplishment. Although the weather is getting chillier, I am braving it just to show off this beautiful UO cord skirt to it's full potential. Scrolling through my blog it's like a flashback to the 60's as I am in love with the prints and styles such as the polo neck jumper from Primark. This tartan scarf was such a bargain being £3 from the mens section of primark, who could say no? I am not one to wear vibrant colours or patterns at this time of year so a pop of burgundy is my go to style. I finished the look of with my H&M Doc style shoes (yes these are my school shoes) with a cute pair of frilly socks. Oh so autumnal....

Things never change

Even though this week I've been on holiday, it has proved pretty hard to get time to post on my blog! I seem to have got caught up in going to school to do extra work (not fun) and spending a lot of time with my closest friends, so far it's been a nice break but pretty busy. I managed to get a morning out with my mum to Hebden Bridge which never seems to change even when the seasons do, the sun is always shining. I went quite casual wearin my grey Topshop joni jeans, Urban Outfitters shirt, H&M chelsea boots and my beloved leopard print H&M jacket. Although the outfit is simple, I felt very comfortable feeling warm and snug rather than drastically making a statement. I hate to say it, but as winter is approaching I'm spending more and more time in my same old jeans, help!
