Fairly Casual

I always contemplate blogging my more casual outfit when I just have chill days with friends or family as I always feel pretty limited and boring with what I wear. This outfit consists of the majority of staple pieces for A/W, Chelsea Boots - H&M, Cable Knit Jumper -Zara, High Waisted Jeans - Topshop and a cute black Backpack - Primark. Although this outfit is fairly casual, I love the use of the layered necklaces as 1. the pea in a pod necklace is my new favourite thing as it was part of a present for my mums birthday and 2. I think it makes the look a little different.

Happy Birthday Mum

This picture pretty much sums up the past 15 years of my life and how much my Mum means to me
26th Septemeber, today, is my mums birthday to which I felt it was necessary to blog about as she is  the most important person in my life. It would be rude to share her age, but I just hope she enjoys her day as for once she should stop thinking about us(my family) and have a little time for herself. It goes without saying that she puts everyone in front of herself and has everyone's best interests at heart. There isn't much more I want to share on my blog as to me it's personal, but I considered that a little acknowledgement on my blog was required as my mum is such a special person. Have a lovely day and you mean the absolute world to me Mum!

Am I in the 80s?

On a recent shopping outing I decided why not take pictures in the car park? The architectural structure as a background proved pretty amazing and I am in love with this blog post. I feel a sense of achievement that 2 of my items I didn't even pay for in this outfit, the two statement pieces. The grey coat was once my mums, I adore the leopard print collar but some may say 'tacky' whereas I say 'chic'. My beloved vintage bag strikes again pulling the outfit together, the hexagonal neck top from Miss Selfridge and my Topshop Joni Jeans act as a base to the rest of the look. Sometimes I feel the most usual of places can be misinterpreted as dull, how did I ever know a 5 story car park would hold some of my favourite the back drop to such unique pictures?

Autumn Insipiration

I have come to the conclusion that I spend too much time searching the internet for pretty pictures and sitting and thinking ' I want to be her..'. I would describe my style as pretty original but the main place I get inspiration is through sites such as tumblr, weheartit and instagram. Looking through photos has always interested me, just as much as taking them does, I love trying to acknowledge the memory in the picture and think why did they take that picture? Through the pictures, I find style inspiration whether it's the colors in the picture, the way or people dress or simply the different textures.

For Autumn, it's pretty obvious I'm a big fan of the autumnal shades through classic jumpers and flannel shirts which are perfect for the cosy days.A big trend I've been loving is all black combined with leather. I feel this look is slightly 'out there' and is definitely more acceptable to be warn in Autumn/Winter.  My favorite 'style icon' has to be Alexa Chung as she effortlessly portrays the seasons through her clothes. A toned down leopard print is a new obsession of mine combined with a classic Chelsea boot, the perfect Alexa look. In the final two pictures, Alexa is wearing a oversized boyfriend coat with matte leather trousers which are two key pieces I've been loving. However, the final picture is slightly different to my style but I am obsessed with this girls look! I think it was the burgundy hat that got me...

Keep It Simple

Although I had promised in  my most recent video that September would be a month for saving up, today I failed to stick to that as I journeyed  into Manchester. The weather has been allowing me to wear my cute summer dresses for a little bit longer so I took this H&M dress with my Primark 'maxi' blazer to make the look slightly more dressed up. My bag is my favorite vintage find with my well loved hat being from Missguided. I feel the cute necklace from Matalan adds a dainty detail which I loved for femininity, however the chunky boots from New Look bring it back to my style as they're quite an edgy piece. I feel like this look has been hidden in my wardrobe for a long time but I've never considered pairing these items, my favorite element is the hat as it looks chic and slightly different. I also want to thank the woman in the cute cafe who complimented my hat, it was lovely for stranger to say such nice things!

A Bit Of Fun

I always end up dressing completely impractical for mine and Ell's 'adventurous' days but the positive is I get good pictures out of it. Photography is something I'm desperate to get back into so these walks are the perfect opportunity. We love exploring where we live and never fail to find somewhere new and interesting. My trusty chelsea boots are from H&M with my AA dupe skirt from Matalan paired with a band tee and necklace I purchased abroad. My hat is from Missguided and I am in love with it now I've gained the courage to where it out. The Polaroids of the day were pretty cute as we tried to use a twig as a make shift 'selfie stick', fujifilm you really need to bring out a timer! Days like this are what I love, making the most of the simple things and spending time with my favourite person.

Casual Plaid

I seem to have come to the decision that I want to edit my pictures in this slightly different way; it still showcases the outfit but also I feel slightly more original. Today was a pretty casual autumnal look with a statement lip as per. This basic top is from H&M and has been staple consistently this year as well as my Topshop Joni Jeans. To add a slight bit of interest this Vintage Plaid Flannel with the layered necklaces creates a grungy authentic vibe. These chunky boots are perfect for this season as they're practical and pretty, so New Look you did good! Sometimes 90s grunge outfits like this are my guilty pleasure as on a day to day basis, this is definitely the style I lean towards to.

A New Beginning

'One of the hardest things in life is deciding whether to walk away or try harder'

For me walking away is never seen as option I'm willing to take, trying hard is where I know I succeed. Regards to blogging, I seem to have become lost in my content and uploading and I feel so gutted that I let myself slip into this habit. I've drifted from blogging for around 3 months now, it was never that I didn't want to do it, it was just I knew what I was producing was never satisfying me. The same old blog post of an outfit, the same angled shots in every post, no originality or flare to what I was doing. I have decided to change up my blog completely and turn it into something that's me.

It's interesting that I never write along side my blog posts, yet writing has always been some sort of hidden passion for me. I don't quite know what I'm going to do yet but expect a change, a good one of course. I need to find where I fit here and stick to what I enjoy and what makes me want to write a blog post. My main love will always be fashion, but I want to introduce more intellectual elements to my blog like just me generally typing away about topics I have an interest for, or simply describing why I've chosen what I'm wearing. I had never really found a unique point in my blog which is something I wish I'd have considered earlier as this and making youtube videos is what I love to do.

I just want to find my feet here and get back onto doing something to be proud of and something a little different...
