Appreciate the art...

This location has proved my favourite place ever to shoot, there is something about graffiti that really astounds me. Even though it is seen as 'vandalism' it is truly an art form and I don't think it is fair to classify it as a negative thing. Although some of the words written on these walls are not exactly appropriate, the overall effect improves the appearance of somewhere which would once have been just a dull park. I decided to wear this Topshop loose crop which is one of my favourite summer pieces as paired with this necklace from Lyla Loves it proves the perfect bohemian combination. I had seem to forgotten about my H&M dungarees, it turns out that they added to this look wonderfully (despite the fact the necklace is constantly tucked into the pouch, it is very annoying, I know). I definitely with be revisiting this place as I love the vibes it gives off so much, it is important to recognise things for what they really are and in this case, appreciate the art.

Backyard chills

I think if I was to travel to LA right now, this outfit would fit in perfectly. I adore seeing the street styles of american teens as I feel they have more 'personality' in their style than those I see in the UK. Pairing to 90s trends, mom jeans and check shirts, I decided that it was the perfect casual cool look. The white cropped tee from Topshop is one of my summer staple pieces as I feel the design is so flattering, one of the perks of being flat chested! I finished the outfit off with my converse as who wouldn't grab a pair of converse for those backyard chills?

A short message

Wanting to succeed has always been in my instincts, I wouldn't say it's because I'm competitive, I think it is because I know my capabilities. It is now mid exam season and stress along with madness is definitely dominating my life. I definitely wouldn't say exams make me unhappy because I can cope with them, but I would say doing the things I have to do to the best of my abilities seems to stop me from doing what I want to do.

'Go the extra mile, it's never crowded'
I constantly tell myself I can always do better, always improve and never give up which is an effective way of thinking but also proves draining. I know at the end of the day, the GCSE results I get won't determine my life in any way, shape or form but I can't help but want to do my best. The problem with me is I have high aspirations and if I don't live up to these little goals I set myself, I wont feel a sense of accomplishment. All I do and all anyone can do is try your best and believe in yourself... So good luck to anyone sitting exams!

I am so excited for the next 'period' of my life and I am filled with creative ideas to put out there for everyone to read, watch and comment on. Finally I can get free of what feels has been holding me back a great amount, but I know this is my time to do what I want to do so I will do just that.

Hoping for sunshine

Today the weather was wonderful and when the weather is wonderful, everything in life seems to be wonderful! I just want to dance around singing jolly songs all day, but that's just what happens when you live somewhere that is rainy the majority of the time. I decided to go for a casual look with another one of these Topshop basic crops which I want in every colour, a over-sized Topshop shirt which was an absolute bargain in the sale and you'll never guess... my Topshop denim skirt! This whole outfit is basically Topshop, I swear I do shop else where! On days like this I really look forward to all that summer holds, I'm hoping for sunshine...

I'm 16!!

So it was my 16th birthday on the 11th April and I am so happy that I'm finally 16! I took these shots in my newly converted shed which is my favourite thing ever, expect many blog posts on it! I decided to go for a 'hippyish' outfit which is a style I'm feeling really influenced by at the minute. My V-neck crop is from Topshop and is my new favourite basic piece which I think looks ever so 90s grunge with my vintage Levi jeans. I am OBSESSED with this textured kimono from Tk Maxx which has an amazing mixture of bright colours which I love! I am still loving layering alternate necklaces so I threw on a few of my favourites from Primark & H&M, I think it's the best way to spice up basic pieces. Finally, I wore my Adidas gazelles which I am completely in love with as they are super comfy and look perfect with the majority of outfits. I had a lovely birthday, thank you to everyone who made it wonderful...
