PROM

First of all let's just appreciate the last picture, I think you should and all go follow the hench Arslan on instagram @arslan_mo because he's been waiting two years for this shoutout and he's finally earned it! I had an absolutely amazing time with my best friends dancing around, taking so many pictures and just appreciating the last time I'd be with everyone who I have grown to love over the past 5 years. Prom in the UK is slightly different to in America, we have one at the end of high school when we finally leave. The best story of the night was about our limo, we'd booked a white stretch very sophisticated limo and long story short a giant pink hummer called the 'Chick Truck' ended up taking us. In the end we just laughed about it and ended up having the best car journey I've ever had. Prom has honestly made me reflect so much on leaving school and how much fun I've had over the past five years, it's scary to think that now I have to grow up. I am so thankful to everyone who made my prom and high school life full of surprise's and I'm sure you know who you are!

Tiptoeing into summer...

The sky is finally appearing a bright shade of blue rather than a dull tone of grey and it makes me so happy! I'm trying to get out and about as much as I can and snap shots whilst I'm at it. I am currently in love with these off the shoulder tops from Topshop, they add such a feminine touch to any outfit. My white Topshop dungarees paired with my white Topshop slip ons certainly add my style to this outfit. The fact I can finally dress like it's summer makes me so happy, we are finally tiptoeing into summer...

May be I can be punk rock?

You know when you try to be punk rock and it just doesn't work...
On a recent shopping trip I picked up this amazing H&M leather gilet/waistcoat jacket and I have been so excited to feature it on my blog. Again, it is something slightly out of my comfort zone but I am soooo glad I decided to get it as it adds a change to my wardrobe. I thought I'd keep it pretty simple and monochromatic with a ribbed River Island crop and my new favourite Primark jeans which are identical to the Joni jeans! I must admit I did feel pretty punk in this look, may be I can be punk rock?

I can't get enough of those bohemian vibes...

I think the inner 'bohemian hippie' in me is finally shining through and reflecting what I wear and I am so excited to spend the rest of my summer sharing this style. I had been lusting over this two piece from Missguided for such a long time but the only thing that put me off was the fact it was bodycon, me and bodycon never usually go well together! The two piece really reminded me of those tumblr festival pictures you see of girls looking effortlessly cool whilst in a field probably covered in mud. I decided to pair the two piece with a simple denim shirt, some chunky H&M sandals and my favourite Urban Outfitters glasses. This outfit is one that I will probably repeat throughout summer because I can't get enough of those bohemian vibes...

Summer Shoes: Vans

When I think of summer, I think of loosely fitting clothes that you can effortlessly through on a go without feeling uncomfortably hot. I also think of shoes that don't take hours on end to put on and that will go with anything and everything in my summer wardrobe! A brand which I have loved and adored from a young age is Vans. Predominantly known as the 'Skate shoe' they have continued to defy these 'stereotypes' year after year as many well known fashion icons love to style up a chic pair of Vans. I recently found a site called 'EscapeShoes' which stocked so many pairs of the Vans I am lusting over this summer so I wanted to share them with you...
Flat black slip ons - These shoes are perfect for slipping on and going out! They're similar to the ever so famous Topshop slip ons but are known for the greater comfort value they offer. I have been lusting over a pair of these as in summer they would go perfect paired with denim for that slightly 90s grunge vibe. Click here to check them out for an amazing price on Escape shoes!

High top classics normal/leather - I decided to include both the leather and normal version of this shoe as they have been high up on my wish list for so long! These are the ultimate 'Skate shoe' yet paired with a little pair of socks, a vintage feeling outfit and the perfect pair or sunglasses they prove the perfect casual shoe. If like me, summer offers a range of opportunities to go on endless walks then shoes like these are perfect as they are so so comfy meaning no blisters or sore feet and they support your ankle so trek all you like! Click here for the leather version and here for the normal!

Floral slip ons - What else screams 'SUMMER' more than a brightly patterned floral shoe? I am completely in love with the fun prints Vans has to offer in recent collections. If your summer wardrobe does consist of the minimal black and white we all love, these shoes are the perfect way to quickly brighten up an outfit! Click here to check them out from Escape Shoes!

I decided to include the perfect summer outfit any of these could be paired with, you can never go wrong with a white tee and denim shorts! The cut off tee is from H&M, American Apparel shorts and an abundance of necklaces from H&M & Urban Outfitters. A pair of Vans would finish off this outfit perfectly and leave you comfortable all day long...

You never know until you try

Do you ever buy a piece of clothing and wonder whether they're actually something someone of your age would wear? Well I seem to be doing this quite often! I fell in love with these pants from New Look for many reasons: they're black and white, they aren't tight and they're striped. I wondered how I was going to fit them into my style but pairing them with this high neck top from H&M and my favourite Topshop denim jacket really toned down the maturity of the piece. Sometimes I think branching out of your comfort zone is the best thing to do in fashion, you never know until you try...

It's not black and white?

What can I say? It is starting to feel slightly more like summer, the wait has certainly been long enough! As I am typing this I have pretty much finished all my exams and finished high school which means tonnes of time for blogging, youtube and just spreading my creativity in every way possible! As I'm no longer in school, being able to wear what I want every day feels so good. I am obsessed with this vintage striped polo neck as the pink colour in it is something completely different for me. I went for the almost 'typical tumblr' look by pairing it with my Adidas gazelles and a tennis skirt. One final thing, it's not black and white!
