A bundle of joy

Yep, I'll just admit I am such a typical tourist! These shots were taken whilst in Epcot, my favourite of the disney parks, I was taken back to my toddler years whilst meeting all the characters and loved every second of it! This playsuit was the perfect option for the hottest day of the holiday, thanks to Sammy Dress I survived without melting. You should definitely check out Sammy Dress as the prices for this piece was so reasonable, yet it saved me so much struggling! I loved the fact that everywhere you turned in Epcot there was something new to look at, I could've spent days there! Visiting disney was such an unforgettable experience but one to be redone in a few years. I wish I could supply endless amounts of posts from the US yet I just didn't have the chance to prioritise taking blog pictures. Hopefully you enjoyed seeing a little snippet of my time away, let me know! If you want to see more America pictures my instagram is filled with them @lucysb_ so have a nosey. To sum my disney experience up I would say it was a bundle of joy...

Disney disney disney

As some of you may or may not know I spent two weeks this summer in Florida with my best friend Ell and her wonderful family. We spent 6 days at disney, 2 at universal and in between visited the malls, beaches and fast food chains the UK doesn't have. As for America, I am in love! The people were so much more approachable than the english, everyone I spoke to just seemed genuinely interested in talking to me! Although I didn't get a tonne of pictures as I did not have my mum to follow me round and snap away, I though I'd share a few of my favourites from the days we were there. The humidity was pretty extreme, so my outfits did not really venture out as a shorts a top combo was the comfiest choice. These pictures were taken the first day in disney at Magic Kingdom, I would say the highlight there was definitely space mountain or seeing the castle. The whole time I was there I was so in awe of how magical everything was I could barely take it in. I would've loved to see the fireworks at night but that will have to be saved for my next visit...

Who says I can't wear them my way?

An effortless style
An effortless style
An effortless style
I always see bloggers wearing effortless outfits, generally a cigarette trouser, basic shirt and some Adidas shoes, so I thought this is my time to shine! I recently got these white trainers from Topshop which really reminded me of the popular style of trainers from Adidas but for a fraction of the price. A simple combination of these grid print Primark parks and a H&M shirt styled these shoes up in a slightly more formal way. To me I always view shirts and trousers as staple pieces in a working womans wardrobe, but who says I can't wear them my way?

What a pretty playsuit

Can we all take a moment to appreciate this beautiful playsuit which is so perfect, it has a halter neckline, is ridiculously comfy and is a combination of my favourite shades of red and blue! It is the perfect staple summer festival piece which you should all check out on Sammy Dress by clicking here. Use codes SDE0602 to get 8% off or SDE0602 to get money off orders over £30 as Sammy Dress has some amazing pieces for all year round! I decided to pair it with my newly adored denim waistcoat, Topshop suede boots and this amazing necklace from Primark! I can't get over how pretty this necklace is for only £5, it is a little gem. I can't help but wish my whole wardrobe was filled with dainty patterned playsuits like this, they are such easy to wear pieces. I can't help but think, what a pretty playsuit...

I am so happy!

After recently returning from my amazing trip to Florida, yesterday I received my GCSE results and I am happy to say the least! Although in the long term these results may not determine a lot, I was ridiculously proud of myself and my friends for achieving the grades they did. I won't lie, I spent countless nights tucked away revising for them but the hard work always pays off. My day was filled with celebrating plus a dog walk with my favourite person and photographer, my mum. I decided to wear the jumper from Brandy Melville that I picked up from Pacsun in the states, I must admit I am so obsessed with this brand that I almost cried when I saw it in person. The things fashion does to me...
I decided to pair it with my Topshop skirt as I am taking full advantage of showing off my tan. For someone who is naturally as pale as a milk bottle, my tan is something to be proud of! Look forward to some Orlando posts coming soon as I did get chance to take a few snaps but occasionally,  I was too busy in awe of the fact I was in America. I have had the perfect summer, surrounded by the perfect people and these results were the perfect way to end it! I am so happy...

I stick my head in flowers and my inner 5 year old is back

I think the slightest speck of sunshine has gone to my head which resulted in a picture of me sniffing some giant daisies, you've got to embrace the summer! I won't lie, more often than not during summer I do reach for my comfiest jeans rather than a skirt or dress. This pair from Miss Selfridge have helped me cope with the bipolar weather of the UK as they can be dressed up or down and are not too warm. I would love to spend everyday wearing shorts and tops but if I did I would most probably get a cold. This ribbed knit top from New Look is the perfect all round piece so I decided to pair it with my Primark jacket, River Island loafers and a pretty little Matalan necklace. When I wear outfits like this I feel more mature than usual, but then I stick my head in flowers and my inner 5 year old is back...

Unique kind of basic

I can't tell if this hands on hips thing is working for me, or whether I just look like I'm mid way through performing some street dance...
Although I didn't get an opportunity to wear this whilst away, I decided to style this Zara dress anyway as it is a piece that is pretty much timeless. I decided to emphasise the black within the dress by pairing some Topshop boots and a H&M slouchy bag to add a sort of 'I'm trying to look fancy but also don't really care' vibe to it. I finished it off with one of my favourite necklaces from H&M as I think it really elongates the V in the dress and just adds a little more interest to such a basic piece. I always find myself nervous to wear pieces like this, they're so basic but a unique kind of basic...

A perfect ending

Our final day in Kefalonia was definitely the best and the perfect way to top off an amazing holiday. We booked a trip on the Sun Cruise which took us from the capital, Argostoli, and sailed around the coast stopping for swim stops at some amazing locations. We spent the morning sailing, snorkelling and chasing dolphins whilst taking in the beautiful scenery surrounding. At around 1 pm we parked up on a beautiful little beach and everyone joined in with a girls v boys game of beach volleyball which got a little competitive. We then got served one of the best meals I've ever had, chicken kebabs  with greek salad and fresh bread, sounds so simple but it was so good. Sitting on a beach, with traditional food and people I didn't know was actually one of the best experiences of my life. Every moment on this trip was treasured. To top off the day, we all embarked on covering ourselves in a natural mud mask which to me felt like a product from lush and did leave my skin feeling so soft! I hope you've all enjoyed reading my posts from Kefalonia as it was such an amazing experience for me and I loved every second of it! I would highly recommend the sun cruise to anyone who visits, it was a perfect ending...
