Lifes a beach!

If someone asked me where I could spend an endless amount of days feeling relaxed and doing absolutely nothing, my answer would be a beach, preferably one in the Mediterranean but Blackpool isn't too bad! Venturing around the different beaches of Mykonos, I soon realised wherever we went would be stunningly beautiful. The perfect spot was a tiny cove between Platis Gialos and Paraga, the combination of sun, sea and sand made me very happy.

If life was a beach what would you need?

Every day I packed my tote bag filled with my #BeachDayMusts and set off for a day in the sun...
1. A swimsuit - How can you enjoy the refreshing sea without a swimsuit? My lovely little 70s inspired look is from H&M and I absolutely adore it! The muted tones in the top paired with a crisp white bottom is my new favourite combination, white always shows off a good tan. If you need a little bit of swimsuit inspiration, check out Adoreme for the prettiest posts!
2. A book - Sunbathing is a tedious task sometimes, sitting still agitates me so having something to read is a necessity.
3. Suncream - Although factor 15 probably isn't the safest option, it's better than being burnt!
4. Lipgloss - If I'm honest, it makes me feel slightly more fancy and feeling fancy is always a plus!
5. Body spray - Beaches are warm, warm means perspiration, that means smells, I don't want smells.
6. Notebook & pen - The ideal spot to write down everything and anything, plan life, dream and doodle away...
7. Sunglasses - Squinting isn't the most comfortable thing to do, get a pair of sunnies and all your problems are solved!
8. Sunhat - As a child, I would refuse to wear caps meaning every year I'd never fail to burn my scalp, I learnt from my mistakes...
9. 35mm camera - Film photos seem so raw and vintage, any opportunity to snap on this camera I will take!
10. Phone - I think a phone has become a life essential these days, it's nice to relax without it but I can't resist listening to my favourite songs on repeat!
11. Sun block for lips - Burnt lips are ten times worse than a burnt scalp, don't do it!
12. Go pro - The best little gadget to capture those underwater selfies whilst being photobombed by fish, you've got to do it!

'Perched awkwardly on the smoothest rock in site, it seems there is no better place and time to contemplate life because this is not real life. Is it not daunting we want to escape real life?'

Welcome to Paradise

Dress: Urban Outfitters // Bralet: Urban Outfitters // Necklace: Forever 21 // Shoes: Topshop

Us brits all know this sensation, when your delayed flight lands into your holiday destination, you step off the plane and complain about how instantly the warmth 'hits you'. We go abroad for a bit of sun, we really shouldn't complain about the weather but it's simply what brits do!

I stepped off the plane in the beautiful Greek island of Mykonos, highly recognised for it's narrow streets filled with luxurious boutiques, glamorous parties and we can't forget the windmills! We drove from the airport to our destination of Platis Gialos which was the perfect little spot on the south coast of the island.
Instantly I realised everything was flawless.

A picture perfect location, the tanned colour of the sand complemented the crystal blue waters that were filled with impressive yachts, the lavish lifestyles were definitely noticeable. The interior to our hotel was completely faultless, a minimal colour palette with hints of blues, the little Grecian touch.
Arriving in such a idilic place I was awe-struck, my initial intentions were to photograph everything, capturing the beauty I saw, sometimes you need to sit back and watch, take it all in, welcome to paradise...

Something about stripes

Top: Topshop // Dungarees: Topshop // Shoes: Doc Martens // Socks: Topshop // Bag: Rosegal

Something about stripes always gets me. I've been through phase after phase of only buying striped tops which isn't all bad, but when your wardrobe consists of 70% stripes you know it's a problem you need to tackle.

Why do I love stripes?
As much as my younger rebellious self would refuse to wear anything me mum advised me to, her love for stripes has had a definite influence on me! Her go to outfit; blue and white stripped tee, jeans and some flats. Although my experimentation with stripes is on a much wider spectrum, my love for the simple pattern is because of my Mum.
So Mum...
You never thought I'd say this but thanks for being my style inspiration!

Equipped with my rainbow stripes, I am full force into summer wearing my dungarees at any possible time. They're definitely not the most mature piece but summer is about having fun, if that isn't an excuse to live in dungarees I don't know what is.
Now my summer has started, I'd like to know when everyone else's does/has and the number 1 thing you want to do?

Who knows it might even be as simple as pulling off a head-to-toe striped outfit, that can go on my bucket list!

I am happy. I am healthy. I am me.

Atmosphere can easily determine your mood, whether it's tense or excited the instant feel you get reflects through your actions.
When I say this I 100% mean it, the atmosphere at the Colour Run was the best I have ever experienced. People were running, skipping, dancing but most of all people were celebrating the simple concept of happiness. If you're unfamiliar with the colour run, it's a run based upon the Indian colour festival. The 5k run takes you through endless amounts of powder paint and finishes with one big party. To sum it up, it is the prettiest colourful mess!

Everyone in that moment was happy.
Regardless of life and all it's problems, I genuinely felt that everyone surrounding was happy. The most upbeat music led to hundreds of groups dancing around whilst throwing packets of paint recklessly in the crowd, I danced with my 2 best friends and smiled so much. I was smiling for the simple realisation of what my life is, it is beautiful and I am so lucky.
I wouldn't define many moments as completely unforgettable, memories always get tainted through the years, yet this was an unforgettable experience.
I won't forget the laughs, the smiles, the music, the colours, the freedom and the happiness!

Live with a wider mind

Top: H&M // Jacket: TK Maxx // Pants: New Look // Shoes: Topshop // Bag: Topshop

'Mum just lie down on the wet floor and point the camera upwards but keep my shoe in focus, it's all about those angles' - the life of a photography student.

So once again I am wearing red! I thought a classic red tee would allow me to go wild pairing my favourite striped pants, star studded shoes and my new favourite denim jacket. Browsing through the endless racks at TK Maxx, I came across this little beauty marked down from £100 to £20, with a saving like that how could I say no? It was the oversized fit as well as the blocked colours that drew me in, it is the unique pieces like this that I begin to fall in love with.

Composing a perfect shot oozes through my blood, I am so precise about what I want, where I want it  and how it should look. It isn't that I'm a perfectionist because I can handle the flaws in life, it's my desire to create my imagination into reality. Looking at things from a different perspective inspires me to create as finding beauty in the ordinary is rather unique. Everything holds beauty to some degree but how you capture it shows the strength of it...

Live with a wider mind, life is too short to take the narrow path.
